We get it right first time!

During the 1980s and 1990s, computer-aided prepress services and techniques began to replace the traditional darkroom and lightroom processes and repro services, and by the early 2000s the word prepress and pre press services became, in some ways, synonymous with digital prepress.

Before the introduction of computers to the professional prepress and professional repro process, much of the reprographic services industry was using large format cameras to make emulsion-based (film) copies of text and images. This film was then assembled (stripping) and used to expose another layer of emulsion on a plate, thus copying images from one emulsion to another.

This method is still used by professional pre press companies; however, as digital prepress technology has become increasingly cost effective, more efficient and reliable, and as the knowledge and skill required to use the new hardware and software have become more widespread, digital automation has been introduced to specialist prepress companies to almost every part of the prepress process.
